There are three weeks left in the regular season in the Canadian Football League. Four teams of the eight will make the semifinals. The top six teams will make the playoffs with the second place teams in each division hosting in the first round of games. The winners of those games will advance to play the division winners in the semi-finals with the winners playing for the Grey Cup. So, is that all clear? Good.

Now let's look at the standings and what the potential matchups are and also the match-ups for this week:

As it stands now, both visiting teams in the first round would be coming from the Western Division. The Edmonton Eskimos have 14 points, which puts them four ahead of the third pace team in the East, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. Should the two teams end in a tie, the Tiger Cats advance to the playoffs. The Eskimos still have a shot to win third place from the Saskatchewan Roughriders though as they trail them by only two points.

The British Columbia Lions, Calgary Stampeders and the Montreal Alouettes are already in the playoffs. The Toronto Argonauts and the Roughriders are close to clinching a spot as well. The real races are for those last two spots.

This week's games include:

Winnipeg at Toronto

Toronto beat Winnipeg 29-10 on Sept 29. But the Blue Bombers have won two of the last four games. A Toronto win gives them 16 points and clich?at least a tie with Hamilton. A loss by the Ti-Cats at Calgary along with the Argos winning, and they are in. There is no line on this game as of yet.

Edmonton at B.C.

This is a critical game for the Eskimos on the road against the Lions. Sports Interaction has the line at B.C. -8. Over/under is 47.5. B.C. is coming off a win on the road at Hamilton in which they dominated. But with the Eskimos needing to win this game, we are going to take Edmonton with the 8 points.

Montreal at Saskatchewan

Montreal is +4 -110 or +145 straight up on Sports Interaction.

Saskatchewan is -4 -110 or -170. Over/under is 52.5. Saskatchewan has a lot to play for still. They have not yet clinched a playoff spot and they could still grab home field for the first playoff game. Montreal is trying to clinch a home game in the semifinals, so they are really motivated to win this game. So we are going to pick Montreal with the 4 points.

Hamilton at Calgary

Hamilton is +7 -110 or +245. Calgary is -7 -110 or - 305. Over/under is 56. Hamilton did not look good last week against the Lions. They lost at home 37-17. They appear to be on the brink of getting eliminated. We're going to go with Calgary -7.
