Lauren Alaina Tipped to Win American Idol 2011
Twenty four American Idol hopefuls have reached one of the toughest stages of the competition, and bookmakers are now offering odds on the ultimate winner of the tenth season of this reality song show.
Bubbly teenager, Lauren Alaina is bookie favorite at 7/1 to win American Idol 2011, although many feel that Julie Zorrilla also has a fighting chance.
Others who make it to the top five on the bookmakers' lists are Paul McDonald 8/1, Casey Abrams at 9/1, as well as country singer Scotty McCreery and Tim Halperin, who share the fifth spot at 10/1 odds.
This week saw the beginning of the Top 24 fighting for their place in the competition until the final 12 are announced.
The finals of American Idol 2011 - sans Simon Cowell - will take place in May.
