The Major Millions progressive slot jackpot has been hit. The Microgaming-powered online casino progressive had not been hit in some time, and the jackpot continued to climb. Although details of the win are not yet available, it is known that the jackpot has been hit for an amount of over $1,165,000.

Major Millions Hit as Mega Moolah Climbs

The Major Millions progressive jackpot is usually hit on an average of every 10 weeks for approximately half a million. This year, however, the slot has been hit somewhat more often and had only passed the $300,000 mark once this year. The previous hit on May 22nd was for $346,416, and had been the highest Major Millions payout this year.

Major Millions was hit in January, February, March, April and May this year. After which there has been a long break until it was hit this week. The current hit took place a few days ago on August 25th. The have been 28 hits on the Major Millions jackpot since 2009.

The progressive slot game is available in two versions, allowing players to choose between a classic slot played on three reels, or a video slot game played on five reels and three rows. In order to stand a chance of winning the progressive jackpot, players need to bet the maximum bet of $3 per game. When playing the five-reel slot, players need to play all 15 paylines at an amount of $0.20 per line. When playing the classic slot version, there are three paylines, each of which have a coin size set at $1.

Mega Moolah is continuing to climb and is heading towards $11 million. The slot has already passed a record, having climbed higher than it ever has before. Mega Moolah is currently standing at $10,643,820.
