After winning their third straight game last night against the Phoenix Coyotes, the Los Angeles Kings are just one game away from winning the NHL Western Conference Finals and securing themselves a well-deserved place in the Stanley Cup Finals.

Since the start of the 2012 Stanley Cup playoffs, the Los Angeles Kings have played like a team possessed, chewing up their rivals and spitting them out. For instance, in the Conference Quarter-finals Los Angeles beat the Vancouver Canucks 4-1, then the St. Louis Blues 4-0 in the Conference Semi-finals, and are threatening another clean sweep if they can dispatch the Coyotes in Game 4 on Sunday.

Kings in No Danger of Losing Winning Momentum

Looking at last night's game, the Kings are in no danger of losing their winning momentum. Consider how even though the Coyotes forged an early lead thanks to the talented Daymond Langkow, the Kings responded in kind barely two minutes later thanks to the equally talented Anze Kopitar.

And so the game went on, neither team willing to give an inch. However, early in the third quarter Dwight King gave the Kings a 2-1 lead, which held until the final whistle. Despite letting in a goal early on, Los Angeles Kings goalkeeper Jonathan Quick made an incredible 18 saves last night.

Said Los Angeles Kings captain Dustin Brown after the game, 'Phoenix was a lot better tonight, but we found a way to win. That's what it takes this time of year. It's exciting. There's a lot of guys in here that haven't experienced this ... but the thing that's made this work is how we're handling all this. We're up 3-0 again.'

Kings will Face Rangers or Devils in Stanley Cup

Anyone who has watched the Kings' journey this season, particularly in the playoffs, will acknowledge that this team is like an unstoppable juggernaut, which deserves to face either the New York Rangers or the New Jersey Devils in the Stanley Cup Finals. And the Game 4 odds will likely reflect this when they are posted.
